Disney Park Must Haves

Hi Everybody!
Today I thought I would come up with a little list of the things that are most helpful to me when I am in the Disney Parks and that I always recommend to my travel clients.

1. Fanny Pack
I know, so 90's right? But hey, it's the only bag I resort to when I travel through the Disney Parks. Honestly, any bag will be fine but the fanny pack is my favorite. When I'm going on rides I never have to take the fanny pack off which means I never have the issue of remembering to grab my bag from under my seat when I exit the ride. Lets just say I learned from experience. Fanny Packs are also fairly cheap and you can find some really cute ones on amazon like the one I have linked here:

2. SNACKS!
I cannot stress this enough. If you are not on the dining plan, or you just want to bring something to much on while waiting in line. DO IT! Disney allows you to bring outside food and drink inside the parks as long as it's not in a cooler. Do you have a picky 5 year old who only likes a certain kind of cracker? Bring it. Do you only like a specific brand of drinking water? Bring a bottled water in.

3. Gum
This one kind of piggy backs off of the last one. There is no gum anywhere on Walt Disney World property. Reason being - Walt was afraid that people would stick gum to the undersides of seats. You may bring gum inside the parks and properties, but you cannot purchase it anywhere. Please, if you do bring gum in, do not stick it to things around the property.

4. Portable Charger
Let's face it. You're probably going to have your phone alert you saying "low battery" at some point during the day. Between checking your My Disney Experience app and taking pictures it's bound to happen. You can find Portable chargers decently cheap like this one on amazon.

5. Comfy Shoes
On average in the parks you will probably get around 30,000 steps in a day. Comfy but practical shoes are a must! My all time favorite shoes that I wear on a daily basis are Croc Loafers with a Disney design on them like these ones. They do not cause blisters and I can even wear them with no socks which is a plus on rides like Splash Mountain and Kali River Rapids. Also, they dry so quick when they do get wet.

Another good pair to wear are just a trusty pair of tennis shoes. My only advice is that if you wear tennis shoes, WEAR CREW SOCKS! If you wear ankle or no show socks that don't cover the back of your foot, by the 4th or 5th day in the parks, your ankles will be chafing.

6. Deodorant
This may not be an issue in the winter months as bad as in the summer, but in July-September especially, that Florida (and California) sun gets hot. With the sun and 45,000 plus people walking through the parks, it gets sweaty and stinky. Don't forget to pack your deodorant.

7. Sunscreen
I'm very, VERY pale and I burn so easily. When I go to Disney I am applying sunscreen all the time. Right before I leave the resort, sunscreen. Entering the parks, sunscreen. Water rides, you guessed it, sunscreen. I personally like the Coppertone Sport Spray kind because it's so easy and hassle free for when I just need to reapply.

8. Mickey Ears
Okay, this one isn't a "oh my goodness, I need this or I won't survive Disney" type item, but it is one of the best items in my opinion. I've been to Disney many times over the years and Mickey Ears are one thing that I get every single trip. My collection is big and still growing strong. Disney is the one place you can wear Mickey Ears and not be judged, so I say go for it.

There ya have it, folks! If you have any other Disney Park Must Haves, leave them in the comments section below. I'd love to see what everyone else brings into the parks.

See ya real soon!
